EAST CLEVELAND, Ohio - A family is suing the former principal of Caledonia Elementary in East Cleveland because of an altercation that occurred between two students in December 2014.
One boy was pulled to the ground and within moments, principal Kimberly Tramell enters the video and appears to pull the boy down and drag him to her office.
His mother of the boy, who has special needs, said she is even more disturbed because it appears that Tramell kicks her son twice when they arrive in her office.
The family has filed a lawsuit against Tramell and the school district, saying "Tramell's actions are offensive and a shock to the conscience."
An attorney for the school district said Tramell has resigned from her position.
The lawsuit makes unspecified claims for assault and battery as well as excessive force violations.
