NELSON COUNTY, Kentucky– The sister of a missing mother-of-five is casting doubt on the boyfriend’s story.

Crystal Rogers, 35, was last seen by her live-in boyfriend, Brooks Houck, on July 3, according to ABC News. Houck is the father of Rogers’ two-year-old son.

Rogers’ sister, Brooke Ballard, said she has questioned Houck’s claims that her sister stayed up late and was gone by the time he got up the next morning.

Ballard told ABC News, “The stories just don’t add up. You just don’t go to bed one night and not know she’s gone and then not worry when she left the baby. He has not offered once to search — or help — or do anything for the family.”

Houck claims he had nothing to do with Rogers’ disappearance. He said his search efforts have been done “behind the scenes.”

Authorities say Rogers’ car was found with a flat tire along the side of the road of Kentucky’s Bluegrass Parkway. Her keys, purse and uncharged cell phone were inside the car.

Her family told authorities she rarely traveled in that area.

Police are asking anyone with information on Rogers’ disappearance to call the sheriff’s office at 502-348-1840.
