Rainy weather = Sunday cancellations, but some events still going on

CLEVELAND – With Mother Nature on a mission to soak us thoroughly, some events around the area have had to be cancelled or postponed.

The Rocky River Recreation Department has cancelled the Concert in the Park scheduled for today, June 28, 2015.

The Mayfield Heights Police Department reports that today’s parade has been cancelled.

Heavy rains have caused the cancellation of Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad services in Cuyahoga Valley National Park for Sunday, June 28, 2015.

UPDATE: The Ohio & Erie Canal Towpath Trail and associated trailheads  Lock 39 in Independence to Hunt Farm in Cuyahoga Falls are now open.

However, some brave organizations have called the Fox 8 newsroom to tell us that they are still having their fun, despite the weather!

Shaker Heights Arts & Music Festival is a go for today after being rained out yesterda.y.

The City of Willowick reports that tonight’s first Concert in the Park, from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at Lake Metroparks,¬† 30525 Lakeshore Blvd. is on, but if the weather is too bad, it will be moved to the Senior Center.

The Cleveland Italian-American Heritage Festival is back on today as well.
