Lorain police find after-hours club, drugs after two men shot

LORAIN, Ohio- After two men were shot , police discovered an after-hours club inside a Lorain house.

Officers were called to East 19th Street shortly after 3 a.m. on Thursday for a report of shots fired. Soon after, they learned that two men went to Mercy Hospital for gunshot wounds, including Anataeus Spencer, who lives on the street.

Police noticed blood and security cameras in front of Spencer’s home, and got a search warrant for the address. According to the police department, officers found handguns, shotguns, an assault rifle, cocaine, heroin, other drug paraphernalia and $8,000 cash.

They discovered what they call an after-hours liquor establishment, with a fully-stocked bar, lighting and a stripper pole.

Spencer, 32, and 22-year-old Terrell Taylor were taken by medical helicopter to Cleveland hospitals for their injuries. Their conditions are not known at this time.
