Two children injured in overnight house fire

CLEVELAND — An overnight house fire on the city’s east side sent two children to the hospital Wednesday.

The fire broke out at the 700 block of East 93rd Street shortly after 1 a.m.

A 10-year-old boy was transported in critical condition to MetroHealth Medical Center, as well as and an 8-year-old girl in serious condition. A third person was also transported.

The cause of the fire is under investigation at this time.
