- 4 C. fresh pitted cherries
- 3 tbs flour
- 1 ½ C. sugar
- 4 individual packages instant oatmeal (little more than 1 cup)
- 1 C. sugar
- ½ C. flour
- ½ C. brown sugar firmly packed
- ½ C. melted butter
Preheat oven 350
In a large bowl, combine pitted cherries and flour, tossing to coat cherries. Add 1 ½ C. sugar and mix well. Pour into a 9×13 inch or 2 quart casserole dish.
In a separate bowl, combine oatmeal, 1 C. sugar,1/2 C. flour and brown sugar. Mix ingredients together. Add melted butter. Stir well. Spoon over cherries.
Bake at 350 for 45-50 minutes.
Serve warm or room temperature with or without ice cream.
