EUCLID-A family is mourning the loss of their precious 7-year-old daughter, after she suffered an asthma attack Sunday.

Melody’s mom woke up and found her daughter unresponsive in the bathroom Sunday night. Her mom
performed CPR, was able to revive her and got her to the hospital right away.

Doctors at Rainbow Babies and Children’s Hospital determined Melody suffered a sudden, severe asthma attack and because her brain was without oxygen for a long time, sadly it was determined she was technically brain dead.

After several brain scans, her mother was forced to make the heart-wrenching decision to proceed with removing Melody from life support.

Melody’s organs will be donated to children across the country, in hopes of saving their lives.
