Cleveland Foundation announces $23 million gift

CLEVELAND – The Cleveland Foundation announced the third largest gift in 101 years on Wednesday.

alThe $23 million estate gift, from Beverly and Albert Higley Jr., will go to support local nonprofit organizations providing basic needs services. The family’s construction business, The Albert M. Higley Co., produces an average of $175 million in building projects each year.
