Police arrest suspect in Madison Country Club arson

MADISON, Ohio- After a two-month investigation, police arrested a suspect in the Madison Country Club fire.

The blaze happened in the early-morning hours of March 12 at the club, located on Chapel Road. The Madison Country Club, which is nearly 100 years old, was destroyed by flames.

On Monday, U.S. Marshals and the Madison Township Police Department arrested Paul Forner, of Chardon. He is charged with aggravated arson and disrupting a public service.

Police do know Forner's motive, but they are not releasing it at this time.

If convicted, he faces up to 11 years in prison.
