Man wanted for robbing two Akron stores in one day

AKRON, Ohio- Police are asking for help locating the man they say robbed a Circle K in Akron.

It happened at about 4 p.m. Sunday at the store on Triplett Boulevard. Akron police said the suspect handed a note to the cashier demanding money from the register. The man, later identified as Steven Watson, 33, took the cash and got away on foot.

Watson is also suspected of robbing the Bell Store on East Market Street a few hours later. Akron police said he attempted to buy a bottle of pop, then reached over the counter and grabbed cash from the register.

Anyone with information on Waton’s whereabouts should call Det. Garro at 330-375-2490. Police said if you see the suspect, call 911 and do not approach. He is wanted on two counts of robbery.
