PRATTVILLE, Alabama– What does homeless mean? That’s what Ava Faulk said her 5-year-old son, Josiah Duncan, asked her when they “saw a man who was dirty holding a bag with his bike outside.”

According to WSFA, the little boy was so troubled, he continued asking questions: “Where is his house? Where is his family? Where does he keep his groceries?” When Josiah found out the man likely didn’t have any food, he insisted his mom buy the man a meal at Waffle House.

So, Ava bought the man a burger, with as much bacon as he wanted. Ava said Josiah insisted on saying the blessing with the man before he ate. Ava told WSFA her son sang as loud as he could and everyone was crying, including the man.

Ava said what her son did will forever be one of her greatest accomplishments as a parent.
