WILLARD, Ohio — Willard police are investigating a rash of home burglaries, some of which happened when the residents were at home sleeping.

According to reports, at least 10 burglaries have taken place there this week.

Multiple pieces of jewelry, electronics, alcohol, candy, cash, silver, a four-wheeler, tools and at least one firearm were taken. Lists of stolen items are still being compiled by some of the victims.

Police say some of the reported burglaries were committed while the homeowners were in their homes sleeping. On two occasions, the suspects were seen and confronted by residents.

One suspect was captured on a home’s surveillance camera, and police are asking that anyone with information call Willard police at 419-933-2561.
