Fake beard found in car of man arrested, accused of several robberies in Cleveland

Dawud Wilson

CLEVELAND – Dawud Wilson was arrested by the Lake County Sheriff’s Office after the Buckeye State Credit Union on Mentor Ave. in Painesville was robbed around 1 p.m. Friday.

When police arrived, information about the suspect was gathered and police began searching for a black male that fled the scene in a tan pick-up truck.

Wilson was stopped on I-90 just west of Route 306 and he was taken into custody.

Sheriff’s found a fake beard, a significant amount of cash and other items associated with a robbery.

He was charged with aggravated robbery and is currently in the Lake County Jail. Police also suspect Wilson is involved with a number of other robberies in the Cleveland area.
