CLEVELAND - Dozens of dogs were rescued on Thursday in Cleveland from an apparent hoarding situation.

Investigators received complaints about the smell coming from a local home, when they investigated the claim, they found 33 Shih-Tzu's inside.

Rescuers say the animals were in "absolutely deplorable" conditions and officials from the APL say many animals have severely matted fur.

Some of the animals are even unable to move because of their conditions.

No charges have been filed yet, but the APL believes they will be in the coming days.

The APL is optimistic the dogs will heal and be up for adoption soon.
