Woman dies in crash after driving off road during police chase

MEDINA, Ohio -- A Tallmadge woman was killed when she drove off the road during a police pursuit and hit a residence.

According to the Medina post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol, it happened at just after 11:30 p.m. on South Prospect Street at West Washington Street.

Teresa M. Morris, 38, was driving a 2002 Dodge Neon, being pursued by a Medina County Sheriff's Office. Morris loss control of the vehicle and went off the west side of South Prospect Street and into a private residence.

She was pronounced dead at the scene. No one was injured inside the residence.

The crash is still under investigation.
