FOX 8 News has been honored by the prestigious National Headliner Awards. It is unusual for a station to win more than one Headliner in a year; and this year, FOX 8 received three first-place awards.

The first award was given in Human Interest Reporting for a report entitled "The Lost Boys of Sudan: Found in Cleveland."

The story chronicled the remarkable journey of four young men who now call Cleveland home. They were part of a much larger group of children who fled famine and war in Africa in the 1980s.

The award is shared by anchor and reporter Bill Sheil, editor Mary Stiene, and photojournalist David Bradford.
