Female killed, male critically injured in shooting at east side home

CLEVELAND, Ohio — A 20-year-old female was shot to death and a 17-year-old male was injured inside an east side home overnight.

Police say it happened in the 600 block of East 99th Street at 2:45 a.m.

Fifth District officers responded to a call for a male and a female shot. When they arrived, both victims were found inside the residence with gunshot wounds.

EMS took both to the hospital, where the female later died.

The male is in critical condition.

Police say the shootings happened after unknown suspects entered the home and opened fire.

There have been no arrests, and there are no descriptions yet of the suspects.
