CLEVELAND – We saw plenty of sunshine this Easter and some viewers sent us photos of a solar halo they spotted this morning.

Meteorologist Andre’ Bernier describes it as a solar halo because of the thin cloud cover that is very high in the sky.

Andre’ said that when the high clouds, which are filled with ice crystals, are high enough in a sunny sky, the ice acts like a prism.

The reflections from those crystals create what looks like a rainbow around the sun.
