NOBLEBORO, Maine – A woman ran over her boyfriend with a car last Saturday after she told the Lincoln County Sheriff that she walked in to him allegedly assaulting her 12-year-old daughter, according to WCSH.

The Lincoln County Sheriff’s office said the fight began late Saturday night between Linda Currier, 53, and James Oliver, 48. Oliver is a convicted sex offender.

The fight began inside the home and escalated to outside when Oliver was run over with a car. Officers said all adults were drinking before the incident.

Oliver was taken to a local hospital for a serious injury to his leg, but officers are not sure of the full details of the event since alcohol was consumed.

Currier was arrested for OVI and aggravated assault. Oliver was arrested after his release and was charged with attempted gross sexual assault, unlawful sexual touching and failing to comply with the sex offender registration act.

The 12-year-old was not injured and was treated on the scene.
