NASHVILLE, Tenn – Adam Stinnett, 7, wanted to honor his brother with a military-style haircut, according to Fox 17.
The young boy was sent home with a note that his haircut was distracting to other students. The note said that Adam’s hair should be shaved.
When his mother told the school it wasn’t a mohawk, but a military-style haircut, they responded that the school is not a military school.
The school’s director Bobby Cox wouldn’t comment, but said the district doesn’t have a policy against military haircuts and each school can determine if a haircut is distracting.
Adam’s mother said she wants an apology and will not stop fighting until she gets one.
