Eastlake opens shelter for flood evacuations

EASTLAKE, Ohio – The City of Eastlake has opened the  Eastlake (PAL) Police Athletic League Center (the Eastlake Community Center) this morning for any residents who are voluntarily evacuating from the Harbor areas of the city.

The Eastlake Police Department reports that the Chagrin River is flowing freely and the level has receded to 7 feet. The police, fire and the mayor’s office continue to monitor the situation. Stay tuned to Fox 8 for updates.
