Suspect faces charges in murder of Akron business owner

AKRON, Ohio– A man faces charges of aggravated murder, aggravated robbery and aggravated burglary in the death of an Akron business owner.

Akron police said tips and evidence collected led to the charges against Akeeme AJ Hayes, 23.

On January 5, a friend of Patrick J. Feeney, 54, found him unresponsive in the East Exchange St. home attached to Feeney’s vintage toy store business. He died of a gunshot wound to the head; his hands were taped behind his back, according to police.

Hayes is already in the Summit County Jail on unrelated weapons and drugs charges.
