Cleveland animal rescue needs help with severely neglected dog

CLEVELAND- A Cleveland animal rescue group needs help paying the medical bills for a severely neglected dog.

When the Public Animal Welfare Society took in Ozzie on Jan. 9, he could barely stand on his own.

Amy Beichler said in the 11 years she’s been executive director of PAWS Ohio, Ozzie is one of the worst cases of neglect and abuse she’s ever seen.

The 6-year-old terrier mix suffers from diabetes and Cushing’s disease, which affects the adrenal glands. Ozzie is improving, In the last week, he has gained a pound.
