My Town: Martin Luther King, Jr. Day at University Circle

CLEVELAND — Several Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day events are lined up to take place at University Circle.

Events begin Sunday, January 18, and will run throughout the week.

On Monday, January 19, The Rink at Wade Oval is hosting special hours to commemorate the holiday. The rink will be open from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m., admission is free and skate rentals are $3 per pair.

Several museums are offering free or discounted admission and Dr. King-themed programming.

Organizations offering special programming include Case Western Reserve University, the Children’s Museum of Cleveland, Church of the Covenant, Cleveland Botanical Garden, The Cleveland Museum of Art, Cleveland Museum of Natural History, The Cleveland Orchestra,
Cleveland Public Library, Martin Luther King, Jr. Branch, Maltz Museum of Jewish Heritage, MOCA Cleveland, The Music Settlement and the Western Reserve Historical Society.

University Circle is also providing free shuttle service to guests participating in events on Monday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Click here to see the shuttle route.
