SHAKER HEIGHTS – On Saturday, Fox 8 spoke with residents in Shaker Heights about their concern for a lost dog wandering around the neighborhood in the cold weather.

Good news came Sunday morning when Vanessa Petrosky, volunteer with Cleveland Animal Control, was able to catch the dog.

She will  rest and relax for a few days inside a heated garage, but then will be visiting a local vet, according to Petrosky.

Since she has no collar and no tags, Petrosky will be looking for a home for the dog once she is healthy again.

Petrosky said the dog has been sweet and docile so far, allowing her to walk her on a leash inside the garage.
