PORT CLINTON, Ohio — The State Highway Patrol says a 34-year-old northern Ohio woman was killed when her vehicle veered into a ditch, hit a utility pole and overturned in a community along Lake Erie.

A statement from troopers says the woman went off the side of a road Thursday evening in Ottawa County’s Danbury Township. The vehicle overturned and was found on its side.

The patrol identified the driver as Sarah Jennifer Hall of nearby Port Clinton. The patrol says she wasn’t wearing a seatbelt.

Troopers say alcohol is believed to be a factor in the crash. It remains under investigation.
