KENT, Ohio- A Northeast Ohio police department has tiny detective, spreading holiday cheer.

A dispatcher at the Kent Police Department purchased an Elf on the Shelf as a way to have a little fun around the office. For the second year, the elf, now named Det. Kent Jingles, is sharing his adventures on the department’s Facebook page.

Along with giving residents a behind-the-scenes look at the department, Det. Jingles also promotes programs like Project ChildSafe, which provides free gun safety kits.

He even has Kent Police Department ID badge that list his weight as 38 marshmallows and his height as one and a half candy canes.
