ASHTABULA, Ohio- An 82-year-old man was attacked at knifepoint outside his Ashtabula home on Sunday.
The victim was in the driveway of his Walnut Boulevard house when a man came up behind him and put a knife to his throat, Ashtabula police said.
The elderly victim called out to his wife for help as his attacker cut his throat and slashed his thumb.
The victim, who police say is an active runner, was taken to Ashtabula County Medical Center. He was later flown to MetroHealth Medical Center, where they were able to reattach his finger.
