Student struck by car in Cleveland walking to school
CLEVELAND- The Cleveland Division of Police is investigating an accident involving a 16-year-old girl.
It happened around 7:30 a.m. Thursday on Rocky River Drive and Marqis Avenue, near St. Joseph Academy.
Mary Ann Corrigan-Davis, president of the school, told FOX 8 News the victim is a sophomore student at the academy and was crossing Rocky River Drive on her way to school when she was hit by the car.
The driver stopped and is cooperating with police. The teen is being treated at MetroHealth Medical Center for her injuries.
The accident is under investigation.
