Christmas came early for Star Wars fans.
The first teaser trailer for “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” was released on Friday, with the eerie narration, “There has been an awakening. Have you felt it?”
The clip is more than a minute long and features familiar imagery from the original 1977 movie: dunes, Sandtroopers, droids, Rebel Alliance pilots and light sabers. However, the highlight for most fans was a shot of the Millennium Falcon.
CNN reported the teaser appeared to crash the iTunes site Friday morning.
Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher and Mark Hamill will appear in the film, along with Oscar award-winner Lupita Nyong’o, John Boyega and Daisy Ridley.
The movie, directed by J.J. Abrams, will open in theaters Dec. 18, 2015.
