Suspect wanted in hit-and-run turns himself in to authorities

PARIS TOWNSHIP, Ohio- State troopers in Stark County said the suspect wanted in a hit-and-run has turned himself and the vehicle involved in to authorities.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol said  authorities are speaking with the person and processing the vehicle.

A pedestrian was walking on the side of US 30 near Minerva Wednesday morning when he was hit by a vehicle. The driver left without stopping.

According to troopers, the car was a black 2014 Chevrolet Cruze with damage to its front-right fender, fog light, mirror and hood. They said it may have damage to the windshield.

The pedestrian, a 19-year-old man from Minerva, was taken to Aultman Hospital and is being treated for life-threatening injuries.

The highway patrol contacted local body shops about the vehicle.
