FBI needs help locating suspected bank robbers

MENTOR-The Cleveland FBI is searching for the suspects involved in a bank robbery at Lake National Bank on Mentor Avenue last Saturday.

Three individuals were involved in the incident, two women and a man around 11:20 a.m.

Officials say, a black female in her 20s wearing a black jacket, a burgundy and gold scarf, a gold ring on her left hand and colored stars on her left wrist, hand and forearm, approached the teller asking about opening a bank account and obtaining a loan.

The suspect, who is described as being 5’6 ,120 pounds, then handed the teller a note instructing her to “keep smiling” and “no bait, no dye packs.”

The teller complied with the request and the suspect was captured on surveillance video handing the money to another woman.

The second female, a black woman 5’5 160 pounds who is also in her 20s, was wearing a red and white winter hat, a burgundy and white jacket, black backpack and blue jeans.

The third suspect, a man in his early 30s or late 20s, was wearing a black fuzzy jacket with a black hood.

All three suspects were last seen leaving the front of the bank, running around to the east side of the bank building and entering a silver or light blue four door sedan parked in a nearby driveway.

A reward is available for information leading to the successful identification and prosecution of the individuals responsible for this robbery.
