Authorities: Arrests made after meth lab found inside home

LUCAS, Ohio- Authorities said a meth lab was found inside a home as they responded to look for a stolen iPhone.

According to the Richland County Sheriff’s Office, a deputy went to a house on Main Street in Lucas on Tuesday. He was trying to find a stolen iPhone 4 as requested by the Ontario Police Department; the phone was reportedly stolen from their jurisdiction.

The homeowner allowed the deputy inside the home. Authorities said Dewey Wheeler and Diane Morrow were found hiding inside. Both had warrants out for their arrest. They were arrested and taken to the Richland County Jail.

According to the sheriff’s office, a meth lab was found in the home.

Evidence was collected for possible charges.
