STOCKTON, CA — A high school gym teacher is charged after he was reportedly caught on video dragging a student into the pool.

According to Fox 40, Denny Peterson is on administrative leave.

The student is heard pleading with the teacher to stop, even heard saying, “my top is coming down.” On the video, Peterson responded, “it’s alright” and also reportedly asked other students to tickle the student.

The female student says she swam laps as the teacher had asked during gym class, but didn’t want to get her hair wet because she had a cheer competition later in the day.

Fox 40 reports that Peterson was placed on leave after the video surfaced. He is charged with corporal injury to a child.
