AKRON, Ohio (AP) — Police in northeast Ohio say two kittens found dead along a road were thrown from a moving car, and they’re looking for two people who were spotted in the vehicle.

Police in Springfield Township, outside Akron, say they believe the kittens were alive when someone tossed them onto the road Thursday afternoon. Police say two witnesses reported seeing three kittens thrown from the passenger side of a dark-colored Buick estimated to be about 15 years old.

It’s not clear what happened to the third reported kitten.
