Postal carrier seriously injured in accident on snow-covered roads

LORAIN, Ohio- A postal carrier was seriously injured in a head-on collision with another car just before 5 p.m. Thursday on the Henderson Bridge in Lorain, when roadways were icy and partly snow-covered.

An initial investigation revealed the United States postal carrier truck was traveling on the bridge when the driver lost control and struck the car head-on.

The driver of the postal carrier truck was severely injured in the crash and was taken to MetroHealth Medical Center.

The driver of the other car was also injured and was taken to Mercy Regional Medical Center.

The area where the accident happened was closed for several hours.
