Man shot to death, suspect fled on bike before arrest

CLEVELAND, Ohio — A 20-year-old man was shot to death Thursday evening, and the suspect fled the area on a bike before being arrested.

According to Cleveland police, it happened at just before 6 p.m. in the 900 block of East 76th Street.

Officers were originally called to reports of a man shot in the stomach. When they arrived, the man was taken to an area hospital, where he died.

Officers learned the suspect had left the area on a bike immediately after the shooting. Police were able to find the 32-year-old suspect in the 700 block of East 90th Street, and he was arrested.

The incident is still under investigation.
