It’s one of the most special moments of a woman’s wedding day: the moment she gets to dance with her father at the reception.

When one young woman in Idaho realized she would never have that special moment with her father, she did something about it.

According to KTVB, Kelvin Peters, 46, has cancer and only has months to live.

His 21-year-old daughter, Kaitlin, came up with the idea to have a special event where Kelvin could dance with all three of his daughters; the other two are 13 and 15 years old.

All three daughters wore wedding dresses and wedding vendors donated everything, including D/C Photography, who took the beautiful photos, which you can see above.

Peters told TODAY he was able to keep it together emotionally right until the moment of the first dance. “The youngest, Isabella, she broke down in tears, and that’s where I broke down. And then Kendle broke down in tears, and again, I broke down because I wasn’t expecting that from the two of them. They are very solid girls.”

He told KTVB, “We’ve had that special moment. And whenever they get married, I’ll be there in spirit with them.”

TODAY reports he provided a secret gift for each daughter: He recorded video messages for each girl to open at their actual weddings.
