Final scores for week 7 of Friday Night Touchdown

Week #7 of Friday Night Touchdown was one of the best as many top teams were put to the test.

Our Friday Night Touchdown, Dodd Camera Game of the Week featured the unbeaten and number-two ranked Mentor Cards, who traveled to Brunswick to meet the Blue Devils.  Mentor beat Brunswick, 21-14.

The top ranked Hudson Explorers had a very stiff test when they went on the road to face the always tough Solon Comets. But, they passed; Hudson won it, 17-10.

Number 3 St. Edward faces Canada Prep Football Academy on Saturday.

Number 4 Nordonia was at Copley, the alma mater of our Tracy McCool. The final there: Nordonia wins it, 52-19.

Number 5 Bedford was at Shaw, and beat them, 50-18.

The number 6 St. Ignatius Wildcats play a Saturday game against Erie McDowell.

Number 7 Madison had a stiff test in facing the Willoughby South Rebels, who are feeling great after storming from behind in the second half last week to beat the Chardon Hilltoppers. Willoughby won again, 35-25.

Number 8 Midview faced the Bay Rockets on the road and won, 44-7.

Defending state champ Kirtland was at home seeking to extend its very long regular season win streak and they did. They beat Fairport 48-0.

State runner-up in Division 2, Glenville beat Rhodes, 40-0.
