My Town: Chatham Apple Butter Festival

CHATHAM TOWNSHIP, Ohio — Medina County is celebrating one of its festivals dedicated to the fall season.

The 46th Annual Chatham Apple Butter Festival on Saturday, October 11, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Sunday, October 12, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The festival will be held in Chatham V.F.W. Hall and Pavilion located at 6299 Avon Lake Road.

The festival is free and open to the public.

This year’s festival will feature homemade chili, soups, baked goods and all things apple related. Fresh fruits and vegetables, canned goods and jellies and fall favorites will be available for purchase.

Several community organizations including the Chatham Garden Club and the Chatham Historical Society will be on hand with booths in the pavilion. Along with autumn-related goods, vendors will also have Christmas themed items on hand as well.

Along with the Chatham Apple Butter Festival, the Chatham Community Center is hosting a flea market at the former Chatham Elementary School.
