LeBron: ‘I had no sugars, no dairy, I had no carbs for 67 days’
BEAVERTON, Ore. — A new and improved ‘King James’ will take the ‘Q’ by storm next month for the Cavs first preseason game.
The trimmed-down LeBron James recently talked to reporters about his extremely strict off-season diet during a media briefing about his new sneaker, ‘The LeBron 12’
According to Sports Illustrated he said, “I had no sugars, no dairy, I had no carbs. All I ate was meat, fish, veggies and fruit. That’s it. For 67 straight days.”
SI reports that the four-time MVP described the diet as a mental challenge and his initial plan was to cut back for a month, but he kept going because his body felt good.
LeBron James wouldn't reveal how many pounds he lost, but he does look noticeably smaller.
The Cavs' first preseason game at Quicken Loans Arena takes place Sunday, October 5, when they take on Maccabi Tel Aviv.
