Indians fall to Astros, 3-1

HOUSTON– The Houston Astros handed the Indians a 3-1 loss on Monday night, further dampening their playoff hopes.

Cleveland took a 1-0 lead in the top of the first inning on a Carlos Santana RBI single.

Houston answered in the bottom of the 3rd inning when Jose Altuve stroked a two-run base hit up the middle.

In the 8th inning, Houston added one more run on a Dexter Fowler sacrifice fly.

Cleveland starter Zach McAllister gave up two runs over 6 innings to take the loss.

The Indians continue their series against the Astros Tuesday night.
