Man headed to prison after calling, texting ex over 20,000 times

A man will spend time in prison after admitting to texting and calling his ex-girlfriend over 20,000 times.

According to The Guardian, the 33-year-old man from France texted and called the woman 21,807 times demanding that she thank him for work her did on their flat.

He called her an average of 73 times per day. When she blocked her phone, he called her parents and her workplace.

The man said in court that he had decided to call and text her until she either paid him back for the improvements or thanked him for what he’d done.

The texts and calls stopped after the woman did thank him during a meeting organized by a mediator.

The man was sentenced to 10 months in prison, six months of which were suspended, and must pay a fine. He will also have to undergo psychiatric treatment and cannot make any contact with the woman.
