Police search for driver involved in hit-and-run accident

CLEVELAND- The Cleveland Division of Police is asking the public’s help in finding the driver and vehicle involved with a hit-and-run accident.

It happened Wednesday, August 13 around 6:55 a.m.

Police say a male victim, in his early 20s, was walking on East 55th Street at Lexington Avenue when he was struck by an unidentified vehicle.

According to police, the vehicle in question is either a dump truck with a trailer or a car that was passing a dump truck with a trailer. The victim sustained serious injuries and is being treated at MetroHealth Medical Center.
