CLEVELAND— The names of two people who drowned at Euclid Beach Park Sunday have been released.

According to the Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner’s Office, the victims were identified as Kelly Walker, 34, of Cleveland and Bryce Canady, 15, of Cleveland Heights.

The Cleveland Division of Police said a preliminary investigation revealed Canady was struggling in the water around 4:15 p.m. and Walker went in to help him.

The water is about 10-12 feet deep where the drownings occurred.

A Cleveland Metroparks spokesperson said it is a swim-at-your-own-risk beach and there are signs warning of riptides and currents.

There are also notices that no lifeguards are on duty.
