I-76 reopens after crews remove metal shavings

AKRON, Ohio — I-76 eastbound from the central interchange (Route 8) to the Gilchrist Road exit ramp has reopened.

Akron police said metal shavings on the road prompted a closure after 1 p.m.

Highway crews cleared the debris and the area was reopened after 2p.m.
