ST. CLOUD, Fla. — A Uniontown woman will have a tale to tell for a long time to come after a trip to Florida.

According to WFLA, Andrea Reese, 20, was visiting the Bay area, canoeing on the Hillsborough River Thursday.

At one point, she was attacked and bitten on the leg by a six-foot alligator. Her friend paddled away from the area and called 911 right after it happened.

The sheriff’s office found the two by air and they were taken to shore.

Reese was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Trappers will be brought in to try to find the animal.
