Gas line crack closes Cunningham Hall on Kent State campus

KENT, Ohio — A gas line crack was discovered on the campus of Kent State University on Wednesday.

Kent State said it was found in the area of Cunningham Hall and the Cunningham Annex. The building and annex are closed until further notice.

About 100 people were evacuated from the building after the smell of gas was reported.

No one was injured.

People are asked to avoid the area as crews work to fix it.
