Another shot! More tickets for LeBron celebration available tonight

AKRON, Ohio — The City of Akron announced on Tuesday that additional tickets will be made available tonight for the celebration to welcome home LeBron James.

The first round of tickets sold out Monday in just hours; the second round of tickets was made available tonight at 6 p.m. ONLY online through Ticketmaster.

“We want to provide additional opportunities to get free tickets to this event,” said Akron Mayor Don Plusquellic. “By opening the online ticket window in the evening, we hope to benefit families whose work schedules do not permit them to go online during the day.”

The City of Akron, the LeBron James Foundation, and the University of Akron are releasing the second round of tickets in response to the heightened demand.

The celebration will be held Friday, Aug. 8, at 7:15 p.m. It will take place at InfoCision Stadium-Summa Field on the University of Akron campus.

You must have a ticket to enter.
