BEACHWOOD, OH – In a matter of minutes, a group of men walked in the Saks Fifth Avenue at Beachwood Place Mall and stole about $60,000 worth of merchandise. All of it was from the Louis Vuitton section of the store.

"It was well planned. They were in there less than a minute they were probably inside the store,” said Beachwood Police Chief Keith Winebrenner.

He said the theft happened around 10 a.m. on Wednesday. He said the men basically walked in grabbed as much as they could and then took off in a 2013 black Chrysler minivan.

"These are high end items and each purse was probably very valuable. I'm not sure the cost of the purse, but if you take 30 purses valued at $2,000 to $3,000 it adds up quickly,” he said.

Investigators are now working with police in Illinois to see if this case is tied to a couple others out there.

Besides that, they’re also reviewing surveillance video from the mall. So far, none of the suspects have been identified.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Beachwood Police Department at 216-464-1234.
